Notes Commander Bailey visited off Busios Islands a Brazilian vessel called the "Piratinim" and found on board 102 slaves... He brought her into this port - discharged the slaves into Here Majesty's Ship "Crescent" and finding that the slate of the "Piratinim" was such as forbade the attempt of sending Her to St. Helena for adjudication He destroyed Here.... Out of 102 "coloured Persons of whom seventy five are Africans and twenty [six] are creole slaves."
