Notes Mr. Forgett, the humane and enrgetic Superintendent of the Bombay Police, took advantage of a large capture of some seventy children to recommend to the late Lord Elphinstone, the then Governor of Bombay, that the children should be sent to Nasik, where he knew that the senior missionary, the Rev. William Price, would take every care of them.
