Notes Il semble que le navire ne montre que des papiers français, ce qui n'autorise pas la commission anglo-hollandaise à agir. Les captifs étant malades, ils sont débarqués "avec précautions". Le capitaine, interrogé plusieurs fois, se dit sujet hollandais vivant à Saint-Thomas depuis cinq ou six ans. Il finit par admettre que les papiers trouvés à bord ne sont pas "vrais et sincères". Ils ont été délivrés à Saint-Thomas par le propriétaire; les vrais, hollandais, ont été jetés par dessus bord à l'approche du bâtiment capteur. Sur ces aveux, les Anglais condamnent, le 24 juin 1829.
