El articulo 2“ del decreto de Dorrego extiende ampliamente el periodo de servicio: “El tiempo que deberdn servir dichos libertos para rescatar enteramente sus personas sera en los que tengan de diez anos abajo, hasta cinnplir veinte; en los de diez a quince, diez anos; en los de quince a veinticinco, ocho; en los de veiticinco a treinta y cinco, seis; y de alii en adelante solamente cuatro.” The "esclavos rescatados" classifed under conditions of either "carga" or "tripulación."
