Notes The return differentiates manumission by purchase, gift, bequest, and virtue of an act of this Island Antigua Passaed Feb. 6. 1818. The return spans 1808 until 1821, and the only year people were manumitted by virtue of the 1818 act was in 1819. There were 22 males and 32 females in that category.
